Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)

Ocean Orthotics offers Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) as a treatment option, mainly for the lower limb. This can be used as a walking aid to improve 'foot drop', to improve knee position during walking, or alternatively as a tool to help with therapy and exercises. We use the Odstock Pace device.

Serial casting

Serial casting involves applying a cast and leaving it on for a number of days to provide sustained muscle stretch and repositioning of the joints. This can be really useful to support orthotic intervention, such as the use of AFOs.
